I can’t believe it! My team actually managed to do something good this year! They have gotten into the football finals after a long drought of one whole year. I can’t even begin to describe how awful it was, being just a mediocre team for an entire year. But now it’s the current year and we are back where we belong! It’s about time!
My team, the Ligers, are heading up to Brisbane to play the Bears. It feels like it has been ages since this happened. After all, it was a whole two years ago that the Ligers and the Bears played in the first week of finals, with the Ligers losing but ultimately going on to win the really big silver cup in the big final. That was an amazing feeling, and it was really hard not winning another really big cup last year, especially given that we had also won the previous really big cup and another one two years before that. I’m used to my team winning really big cups, alright?
Anyway, I’m thinking that I might take the trip up to Brisbane to watch the game. I’ve been meaning to go up there for a while anyway because I hear that there’s this amazing realism tattoo artist based in Brisbane, and I want to see if they’re as good as everybody says. So, I’m thinking I’ll fly in on the Thursday morning, watch the game that night, and then go check out this tattoo shop on the Friday. I’m not planning on getting a tattoo, mind you. Sure, if they have a tribal tattooist there, I might be curious about some of the designs, but I don’t really know if tattoos are for me. Not really my style.
Anyway, I hope that my football and tattoo holiday goes well. I’m not sure what I’ll do if the Ligers aren’t able to advance and put themselves in a position to win a fourteenth big silver cup. The more big silver cups, the better!
