I had come home from the gym yesterday feeling like a sweaty mess. I couldn’t have been more excited to get into the shower, wash the sweat off my face, and bask under the flow of cool water. This has been my post workout routine for the last five years. I’ve gotten into a really good consistent habit of going to the gym after work, and having a shower to ease into the night. Unfortunately, yesterday’s shower wasn’t as soothing as usual. The pressure from the shower head felt like a light dousing as opposed to the full-forced flow it usually was.
I left my shower feeling discontent. I struggled to enjoy anything that night. I couldn’t be bothered for dinner, I struggled to feel clean, and sleep felt nearly impossible. Before going to bed, I did a search for the local hardware store opening hours. Bentleigh had multiple hardware stores, but sadly none were open 24/7. I had to bite the bullet and accept that yesterday evening was not going to follow my usual routine.
I drove over to the hardware store first things this morning to get some plumbing supplies. The store had a surprisingly large selection of shower heads, vanity sinks, bathroom mirrors, tools, timber, and more. Given the selection was so vast, I decided to speak to an employee to see what their most recommended plumbing supplies Cheltenham locals usually buy. They pointed me in the direction of a few different options. It would’ve been nice if I could’ve seen the flow of these shower heads in action, but I also did understand that it would probably be too much of an ask. I decided to take the word from the sales assistant, and purchase the shower head they recommended.
Since I was at the store, I figured I might as well continue to look at what else the store had in stock. You never know when something in your house might go wrong, so it’s definitely helpful familiarising yourself with what tools and solutions are out there.
